Ludlow Racecourse, located in the beautiful countryside of Shropshire, is one of Britain’s oldest and most well-known National Hunt racecourses. Horse racing has been recorded at Ludlow since the 18th century, and the course has a long and fascinating history. Originally, flat racing took place there, but it later became a National Hunt course, specialising in races over hurdles and fences. Today, Ludlow is known for its friendly atmosphere, traditional Edwardian character and exciting jump racing. The racecourse holds a number of meetings each year and attracts horses, jockeys, trainers and spectators from across the country. With its picturesque surroundings and strong links to the history of British horse racing, Ludlow remains an important and much-loved racecourse.
